about
Minah's cold voice was recorded at Batorvilla Studio in 1997. After her unexpected death in 1999, Antares produced a new arrangement of this song - with the help of Salim Dastan, Xiong Lee, David Yee and other sessionists. Sounds live! Minah learned this song from her husband, a tribal chief, who learned it from his grandmother. In 1883 the British assigned young Cecil Ranking as revenue collector & magistrate to Kuala Kubu. He rode around on horseback but one day he fell off and his horse bolted. This song commemorates what the Orang Asli regard as a very funny incident.
